It’s all about EVANGELISM
No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
The Evangelism Committee is a group of nine elected members of the church who meet on the first Tuesday of each month with a focus to effectively reach out to the community as well as to reach inward to meet the needs of the congregation.
The entire congregation is divided into Care Groups where a member of the Evangelism committee along with the pastor and each person in the group prays for and helps to respond to the needs of the others in the small group.
We realize that our purpose for mission is not to be measured by growth or the amount of money taken in or spent, but by God’s identification for who we are and what we do. The Evangelism committee attends to Sunday morning visitor needs, coordinates Fellowship dinners, offers a tape ministry, sponsors the ministry of serving at The Kitchen on the third Sunday of each month, coordinates college group activities with the campus ministry, develops adult mission trips, and is responsible for publicity.
We strive not only to bring the people in, but to get the message out.
You are what you are…and so are we. We like ourselves just fine. It’s not about commandments. It’s about relationships. We invite everyone to come join in the relationships at St. John’s Chapel and with God. Let us journey together. Our faith is over 2000 years old. Our thinking is not. Listen…
GOD IS STILL SPEAKING
