Spirituality/Faith and Community are important to us, because we believe that Jesus commands us to love God and love people. We strive to do this in a variety of ways – through weekly worship together, various gatherings around the table, sharing meals together, connecting with one another and serving each other and our community.
Through group studies, conversations around issues like white privilege, racism, homosexuality and the Bible, etc., we explore and learn together the ways we can be allies to our neighbors who are marginalized and deeply affected by human injustices and inequity.
We believe serving others is vital to being followers of Jesus. We work together to do this in various ways: from collaborating with other churches to assist in making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our neighbors in need; to working with The Connecting Grounds Church to help serve the unsheltered –whether that is opening an overflow emergency overnight shelter, collecting needed items, hosting fundraisers; to serving families in partnership with Crosslines.
We look forward to the ways that God guides us to being the church for today. Click on the "Current Happenings" tab to see what you might want to check out!
